Fully Equipped, State-of-the-Art

Thanks to the support of the Kansas City community, 91导航 is able to invest in the student academic and studio experience by updating the campus with the latest technology and maintaining high-quality tools and equipment. We also have space! Each student is given a dedicated studio space from day one. No other school of art and design can say the same.

Central Shop

The Central Shop is a 3,000-square-foot fully equipped auxiliary woodworking studio.聽To use these facilities students聽must first attend a safety orientation scheduled at the beginning of聽each semester. All Foundation students attend an聽organized Foundation department orientation project.

Sherman Family Student Union

Located on the ground floor of Barbara Marshall Residence Hall, the Sherman Family Student Union is the gathering hub on campus. Meet your friends in the living room in front of the fireplace,聽schedule a study group in the Helzberg Conference Room, play video games in the JE Dunn Game Room,聽cook a meal for your friends in the Baum Community聽Kitchen, or work up a sweat in the fitness center.

Media Center

The media center is the campus headquarters for audio/visual equipment. It houses 91导航鈥檚 vast inventory of projection, photographic, and A/V equipment, which is聽generally available for student checkout on a 24-hour basis. The Media Center educates students and faculty on the proper operation of聽equipment, and its staff is available by appointment for personalized instruction.
