The artists in the exhibition quote or reference or reinterpret particular works, often in a way that creates a convergence between contemporary popular culture and art history. The exhibition was curated by Raechell Smith, Director and Chief Curator.

Pariticipating artists included: Juan Capistran, Kathleen Gilje, Nina Katchadourian, Hendrik Kerstens, Liane Lang, Vik Muniz, Mark Newport (’86 fiber), Jaimie Warren (’02 printmaking) and Kehinde Wiley.

Public Programs:

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýResearch Now: Unleash Creativity, an exhibition of research-based artworks by students at Crossroads Academy of Kansas City, in the Cohen Resource Room.

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýT.N.T. (The Noon Thing), Mistaken Identities in the Art (about Art) of Cindy Sherman, Yasumasa Morimura, Yinka Shonibare and Roger Shimomura, a presentation by David C. Cateforis, professor of art history at the University of Kansas, noon to 1 p.m. March 7 in the Artspace Studio.

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýGallery Talk: Saints Stars & Selfies, by Maria Buszek, associate professor of art history in the College of Arts and Media at the University of Colorado, Denver , noon to 1 p.m. March 26.
